Waiver & Release

This Waiver and Release relates to the Phoenix Zoo’s hosted event Zoo Move and Groove 2019 (“Event”). The license granted by your participation is revocable and may be terminated by Phoenix Zoo at any time.

Papago Park and the Phoenix Zoo encompassed therein, are part of a natural landscape which contains uneven surfaces. The Event participant (“Participant”) is required to stay on designated pathways and is further advised to watch your step at all times, especially before sunrise and after sunset. Participant is asked to immediately report any potential safety hazards or injuries to a Phoenix Zoo Park Ranger.

Participant assumes all risk, danger and injury related to attendance and/or participation at the Event, and agrees that no persons or entities (including, but not limited to, Phoenix Zoo, City of Phoenix, Event sponsors and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents and/or representatives) are liable for any injury to Participant resulting from such attendance and/or participation, and hereby releases and holds harmless such persons and entities.

During your attendance and/or participation in the Event or your visit to the Phoenix Zoo, you may be filmed, videotaped or photographed by Phoenix Zoo and/or Race Place Event Systems, Inc. Your registration to the Event serves as permission for use of your image for promotional purposes by Phoenix Zoo and its constituents. Each Participant individually and on behalf of his/her minor children further waives any right to pre-approval, royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of imagery. The commercial use of photographs, videos and film you take during your visit is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of Phoenix Zoo and Race Place Event Systems, Inc.

I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Waiver & Release and fully understand it is a release of liability. By my signature below, I am waiving any right that I may have to bring legal action to assert a claim against Phoenix Zoo, City of Phoenix, Event sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents and/or representatives for any form of negligence.

How your support effects the Tiger Conservation Campaign:

Tigers once roamed across much of Asia. Today, fewer than 4,000 remain. The Tiger Conservation Campaign is coordinated by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Tiger Species Survival Plan (SSP), the Phoenix Zoo and the Minnesota Zoo. The Tiger SSP’s Tiger Conservation Campaign supports projects that directly address threats to wild tigers. Your funds will help pay for monitoring patrols, community awareness efforts, snare removal and emergency veterinary care for wild tigers caught in traps in Sumatra. Thank you!
