Turkey Trot 5K & Fitness Walk

Join Fountain Hills Community Services for the 33rd Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run & Fitness Walk on Thanksgiving morning, November 23. This valley-wide favorite runs around the world-famous fountain at Fountain Park. We offer something for everyone! You can choose from a 5K timed run or a 1-mile fitness walk. Be sure to dress up in your favorite Thanksgiving-themed costume to enter our Costume Contest. Your registration includes the traditional long-sleeved t-shirt.

The race starts at 7:15 am on the Avenue of the Fountains, just East of Verde River Dr.

5k (12 and under) - $20
Fitness Walk - $20
$5 late fee after Nov. 10th

AWARDS: Be sure to stay for the awards ceremony at 8:15 AM. Located near the Start Line.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED.
There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION on the event day.

Packet Pick Up is Monday-Wednesday, November 20-22 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at the Community Center located at 13001 N La Montana Dr, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.
The Community Center will be closed on Race Day. Please plan accordingly.
Be sure to stay for the Thanksgiving Parade that goes along Saguaro Blvd and the Avenue of the Fountains. The parade starts at 9:30 AM.

All registrations are done through ChronoTrack
- Please register HERE. You can register a customer at the front desk if they aren’t able to do it at home. Credit card is the only method of payment. Onsite registration will be available at Swag Snag but not on the day of the run.
When and where can runners get their bib and shirt?
- The runner's bib and shirt can be picked up at the Community Center Monday-Wednesday, November 20-22 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm during SWAG SNAG. There will NOT be bib or T-Shirt pick-up on Race Day. Participants must bring their bibs or they will not be timed on race day.
When is the last day to register?
Late Bird Registration (starting November 10)

*$25 per runner 12 & Under
*1 Mile Fitness Walk – $25 per walker
- NO onsite registration*. Pre-registration is required.
Do I need to ask the participant for their shirt size?
- No, we order shirts far in advance but, we will have shirt sizes from a Youth Small to an Adult XXL. It is very likely that we will have a shirt in your size.
Where should runners park?
- It is encouraged to park in the Town Hall/Community Center parking lot, however, the lot will be closed while the race is in progress. Once all runners are off of the street, the lot will open up for exit traffic.
- For additional parking, Plot 208 behind the businesses on the Avenue of the Fountains is ideal.
Where is the parade?
- The parade will go from the corner of Saguaro Blvd and Parkview. The route then turns onto Avenue of the Fountains and continues up the Avenue and back down to Saguaro. The parade ends at Saguaro and El Lago. The parade begins at 9:30 am.
Where will the awards ceremony be held?
- The awards will be held at the Start/Finish line on the AOTF. We will begin the awards ceremony at roughly 8:15 am.
Can I run the race with my pet?
- To ensure the safety of all runners, we ask that you leave all pets at home.

Can I bring my children?
- All participants walking or running the course are required to register.
