For over three decade, athletes have flocked to Tupper Lake in late June for the annual Tupper Lake Tinman Triathlon, making it one of the longest running races of it's kind in the country. Triathletes from the Northeastern United States and Canada put the Tupper Lake Tinman on their running calendars because of the reputation for quality established over the years.

WAIVER

In consideration of accepting this entry, I do hereby waive and release the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce, sponsors, officials and municipalities through which the race is run, from all liabilities and claims arising from my participation in this race. I grant permission to use photos, videos or any other records of this race for any legitimate purpose. I understand that the use of headphones during the race is prohibited. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for this race.
 
There are no refunds, of any kind,  including a weather cancellation.  Any change or deferral after May 1, 2016 can be done by the athlete for a $15 fee.

Jim Adam's hails from Altona, New York and holds the distinction of having participated in every Tupper Lake Tinman Triathlon since its beginning in 1983. Jim has finished more than 200 triathlons in his racing career.  The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce has decided to create a Scholarship in his honor to be awarded to one girl or boy who are going onto college, has financial need and has high degree of community service.
