I, the undersigned, fully recognized the inherent and potential risks of participation in the Stevens Point Area YMCA Point Duathlon, and fully understand that it is not the exclusive purpose of the officials, sponsors, and directors to serve as guardian of my safety. I agree to assume full legal and financial responsibility for my participation. I further assume full responsibility for my physical fitness and capability to perform under the conditions of the race.
I voluntarily indemnify and hold harmless the Stevens Point Area YMCA, its Board of Directors, Race Sponsors, Race Director, workers, volunteers, other YMCA agents, and other associated parties from any liability arising from any occurrence, whether foreseen or unforeseen, in connection with this race and further waive any claim by me or my family estate, heirs, or assigns, arising from an accidental occurrence. I expressly agree that this waiver and release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of Wisconsin, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
