Release and Waiver—In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I hereby waive and release of myself, heirs, executor or anyone who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue the event directors, event officials or volunteers from all claims or liability for death, personal injury or personal damage of any kind arising out of or on the course of, my participation in this event. I hereby state that I have full knowledge of the risks involved, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown and have conditioned myself to run or walk in this event. I assume all risks associated with running or walking; in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or roller blades, and animals are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules. Exceptions can be made for military, police, service dog, or person with disabilities. I also understand that baby joggers are discouraged for the safety of all participants. I am aware that the event officials strongly discourage the use of personal audio devices. I also grant full permission to the event directors and/or agents authorized by them, to have free use of my name and picture in any broadcast, telecast, videotape, print media or any other record of this event for any purpose. Use of email will be for Alive and Running race updates and newsletter only.
