The Chena River To Ridge is an inherently dangerous wilderness race. Racers will be exposed to environmental and physical conditions that can stress the body to the point of exhaustion. Racers must be self sufficient and have the ability and will to take care of themselves. It is up to each participant to ensure that they have adequate outdoor gear, plenty of food and water, are in top physical shape, and have the mental strength to endure the hardships that may be encountered along the race course. The race will be held on groomed and un-groomed trails with multiple checkpoints - BUT- this does not imply that conditions along the course will be easy. Racers must be prepared to contend with frostbite, hypothermia, extremely cold temperatures, strong winds, blowing snow and whiteouts, overflow, glare ice, ruts in the trail, bumps, dirt and rocks, open water, overhanging trees and branches, blind corners, unexpected obstacles on the trail, steep and narrow descents, getting lost, aggressive wildlife, snowmobiles, dog mushers, and other outdoor challenges.
I understand the risks of winter sports such as biking, skiing, and running, and I have carefully read, understand and voluntarily accept the terms of this waiver and release agreement. By signing below, I also agree that I have read through the Chena River To Ridge race rules located at:

I further authorize and grant the Chena River To Ridge the unqualified and unrestricted authority to use, publish, and copyright my name and picture in all media and types of advertising.
I accept and understand that there are risks involved in the activities of this race that include, but are not limited to, those listed above as well as those associated with biking, skiing, and running. I understand that there are more hazards than are enumerated here, and that there are unknown and unforeseeable hazards. I am choosing, nonetheless, to engage in the activity of this race/adventure with knowledge of the inherent risks of injury.
I agree to participate at my own risk. Therefore, for myself, my heirs, successors and representatives, I hereby knowingly and intentionally waive and release, and agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the race organizers and race volunteers, or their estates, from any and all liability for any and all such damage, injury to myself or to any other person or property, including travel to and from Fairbanks.
I also agree to hold the Chena River To Ridge Race Committee and its volunteers, Endurance North, land owners, and race sponsors, and other contributors harmless from any claim or demand based on any alleged action or inaction by myself, agents, or others acting on my behalf.
I hereby release the Chena River To Ridge Race Committee and its volunteers, Endurance North, land owners, race sponsors and agents and employees/volunteers from any claim or demand resulting from death or injury to myself, my property, or my agents.
