In registering for Run for the Zoo, the participant is aware of and assumes any and all risks of injury associated with or in any manner related to his or her use of or presence at any premises, use of any
equipment, or participation in any timed or untimed event, function or activity in any way related to membership, including injury resulting from the negligence of any party, for both himself/herself and
their dependent minor children.
It is recommended that you seek the advice of your physician before commencing in any exercise routines. By registering for this event, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in
good health. I assume all risks associated with running this event, including but not limited to: falls, physical contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers,
employees and spectators, including the potential contraction of communicable diseases resulting from such contact. I assume all risks including effects of weather; high heat and/ or humidity; freezing cold temperatures; traffic and the conditions of the road including the surrounding terrain.
This waiver applies regardless of whether you are participating in Packet Pickup, event day sponsorship, timed runs, untimed runs, volunteerism, or any other Run for the Zoo related-function or event,
including Zoo admission on event day, regardless of whether your injury occurs as a result of your presence upon the premises regardless of purpose of activity or the time of the injury-causing incident.
This waiver and release agreement is intended to be as broad as is allowed under applicable law and applies to any and all claims for damages, regardless of whether they are allegedly caused by the
negligence of the league, a team, or their officers, directors, administrators, employees and agents.
I understand that the entry fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable, and by registering for this event, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund.
I hereby grant full permission (for me and my minor child) to any and all of the above parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event
for legitimate marketing purposes.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Run for the Zoo, the City of Albuquerque, and the New Mexico BioPark Society, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even
though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
