I intend to participate in The SEMPER FIDELIS SOCIETY ANNUAL BULLDOG CHALLENGE, including
program-related events and activities.
I acknowledge, appreciate and agree that the risk of injury from the activity involved in The SEMPER FIDELIS SOCIETY
ANNUAL BULLDOG CHALLENGE is significant, including the potential for permanent disability and death. The SEMPER
FIDELIS SOCIETY ANNUAL BULLDOG CHALLENGE includes climbing, running, water activities, and carrying heavy
objects along with fellow teammates, etc., thus while particular protective equipment and personal discipline will minimize this
risk, the risk of serious injury does exist. I understand and appreciate the nature of such hazards and risks.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in The SEMPER FIDELIS SOCIETY ANNUAL BULLDOG
CHALLENGE, including program-related events and activities, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, successors, and assigns,
KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE
NEGLIGENCE of The Semper Fidelis Society, The Citadel, the State of South Carolina, their respective officers,
directors agents, servants, employees, members, successors and assigns, and I assume full responsibility for my participation
in the challenge.
I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, successors, and assigns, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS The Semper Fidelis
Society, The Citadel, the State of South Carolina, their respective officers, directors, agents, servants, employees,
members, successors and assigns, (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH,
of loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR
OTHERWISE, that may result from or occur during Participant’s participation in The SEMPER FIDELIS SOCIETY
ANNUAL BULLDOG CHALLENGE.
I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Semper Fidelis Society, The Citadel, the State of South Carolina, their
respective officers, directors, agents, servants, employees, members, successors and assigns, from liability for the injury or
death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from Participant’s negligent of intentional act or omission while
participating in The Semper Fidelis Society Annual Bulldog Challenge.
I am also aware that photographs and video footage of me and other participants may be taken and used by The Semper Fidelis
Society for various purposes not limited to promotion of The Semper Fidelis Society Annual Bulldog Challenge and
fundraising for The Semper Fidelis Society. I understand that I will not receive any sort of compensation for photographs or
video footage that is used for such purposes. I hereby consent to The Semper Fidelis Society’s us of my image and likeness
from my participation in The Semper Fidelis Society Annual Bulldog Challenge.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY
UNDERSTANDING ITS TERMS. I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY
SIGNING IT. I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. I ALSO AGREE TO
FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURES.
