Please read this waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and waiver of legal rights and deprives you of the ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree to this document unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the waiver and release agreement.
I, the undersigned, fully recognize the inherent and potential risk of participating in the Hixon 50k, 25k, 10k, and/or 5k and fully understand that it is not the purpose or responsibility of these races or their officials, organizers, sponsors, directors, and volunteers to serve as guardians of my safety or my child's safety. I hereby release Grand Bluff Race Management, Grand Bluff Running, the Hixon 50 organizers, race sponsors, race directors, race workers, race volunteers, and any persons associated with the race from any liability arising from any occurrence, whether foreseen or unforeseen, in connection with the Hixon 50k and/or 25k which may result in injury, death or any other damage to me. I hereby assume full responsibility of the risk of any accidental occurrence resulting in injury, death or any other damage due to my children's participation in this event and further waive any claim by me, or my family, estate, heirs or assigns, arising from accidental occurrence. I further assume full responsibility for my health, physical fitness, and capability to perform in the event, and my child's health, physical fitness and capability to perform in the event. I understand that weather conditions, including but not limited to conditions related to temperature, humidity, storms, and precipitation, both during the hours of the event and in the weeks prior to the event may increase risks of injury, death, or other damage, and that my continued participation in the event implies my assumption for responsibility of these risks.
I grant my permission for my children to participate in the Hixon 50k, 25k, 10k, or 5k. I release, consent and allow Grand Bluff Race Management, Grand Bluff Running, the race director, the race committee, and its agents to use my photograph or my child’s photograph, as it pertains to me/my child’s participation in the events, in any manner for promotional efforts without expectation of any reimbursement in connection with its use. I expressly agree that this waiver and release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of Wisconsin, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. I hereby certify that I am of lawful age and legally competent to sign this waiver and release and further certify that I am fully informed of the contents of the waiver and release. I give Grand Bluff Race Management permission to copyright and/or publish any images of me or my child and I waive any right that I may inspect and approve the finished product. I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable, non-deferrable and non-transferable under any circumstance.
