The Konza Environmental Education Program (KEEP) is located at Konza Prairie and works to connect K-12 children to the wonders of the tallgrass prairie! This ecosystem, the most imperiled terrestrial system in the world, is here and healthy in the Flint Hills and it's important for the children of the area to both appreciate and understand it. KEEP works with a group of trained volunteers to provide guided hikes as well as opportunities for students to participate in hands-on science activities with the collection of data - just like what our site ecologists do! There is no other program quite like ours in the world and we hope you get to know both us and the amazing tallgrass prairie.
