Our cancellation option / policy for 2021 Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5k. This year we face many uncertainties resulting from the covid-19 pandemic other conditions. In the event the 2020 Marshall Marathon events are cancelled, registration costs and other fees and purchases will not be refunded.

* You will be guaranteed an entry to the 2022 events.

* You will be required to claim your 2022 entry when 2022 registration opens.

* We will not mail garments or bibs for 2021 event

By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows:   In agreement of acceptance of this entry, I hereby waive any and all claims for myself and my heirs against HealthyTriState.org, Inc.; the sponsors of the 17th Annual Marshall University Marathon, and each of their agents, servants, officers and employees of the host town, for injury or illness, which may directly or indirectly result from my participation and I further agree to save and hold said parties harmless and agree to indemnify each of said persons against all liability for any loss, costs, injury or damage to persons or property, which may arise by virtue of the undersigned engaging in the Marshall University Marathon. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this event. Sponsors and organizers reserve the right to postpone, cancel or modify the event due to weather conditions or other factors beyond the control of the sponsors and organizers, which might affect the health or safety of the participants. I also understand that pictures may be taken at the time of the event and my photo or video may be used by HealthyTriState.org or associates.

1. Social distancing requested, especially at packet pick up, race start and race finish.

2. Request all runners and spectators wear face coverings (cover nose and mouth) at packet pick up, at race start and race finish

3. All volunteers (packet-pick up and on course) will wear face coverings (cover nose and mouth) and wear gloves. All volunteers also practice social distancing.

4. Race day registration area will be separated from packet pick up. We also ask runners complete registration application before arriving at race site and have correct cash or check. If registration is completed on site, then pen / pencil will be used only once. Our goal is eliminating the need for sharing money or pens, etc. Again, volunteers and runners should practice social distancing.

5. Water at start and finish will be provided as individual water bottles. On course hydration will be provided in paper cups provided by volunteers wearing face coverings and gloves. 

6. Hand sanitizer available at portable toilets and packet pick up / registration.

7. To provide more social distancing the 5k starts at  7:15 AM. Start and finish times will be recorded for each runner, therefore an athlete will be credited with their best net time. This spacing will provide more social distancing.

Reduced pricing for Marathon and Half-Marathon. You MUST be an active member of the US Military. Therefore, you must be currently serving as an active member of armed forces. Eligible participants will be asked to present Active Military ID at packet pick-up. No special Armed Forces pricing for HIMG 5k.
