Rachels Run 2019

A charity run/walk to raise funds for the Academy of Notre Dame Rachel Morrison Memorial Fund the Saturday before Thanksgiving (November 23, 2019). There will be a community walk at 9:15AM followed by a trail dedication ceremony at 10AM. The community run will start at 10:15AM. The USATF has chosen this course as part of its Cross Country Series. The USATF race will start at 11:15AM for the women and 12:15PM for the men.

All funds raised will be used to fund a scholarship fund that has been set up at the Academy of Notre Dame for seniors expecting to pursue a science and/or marine biology degree in college.

Rachel was a passionate person with interests in marine biology and coral reef conservation.  She was a Ph.D. candidate at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, CA before she lost her life to a drunk driver in Del Mar, CA on March 28, 2014.  All funds raised will go to the Rachel Morrison Scholarship Fund at the Academy of Notre Dame.
