The participant (parent or legal guardian in the case of a minor) acknowledges that participation in programs and use of facilities has been bargained for and supported by consideration and that alternative services are available.

I acknowledge that by participating in the programs and using the facilities of the Three Rivers Park District for recreational purposes, I am exposing myself to certain known risks which could result in personal injury or property damage. I hereby assume such risks and agree to release Three Rivers Park District from any claims arising from the inherent risks of these recreational activities.

In addition, in consideration of the Park District providing me with the opportunity to participate in its programs and use its facilities, I hereby agree to release Three Rivers Park District from all claims of personal injury or property damage caused by the negligence of the Three Rivers Park District, its officers, employees or agents.

I know that participating in a run sponsored by Three Rivers Park District is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury, death or property damage. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them.  I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, and trail conditions. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Three Rivers Park District and all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind for negligence or the inherent risks arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I understand that this race will be held regardless of weather, and extreme conditions may cause a delayed start at the discretion of the race director. I further understand that entry fees are not refundable or transferable including cancellation. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
