This 5K Run/Walk will start and end in the fantastic SM South football stadium. The course will feature musical performances by the SM South Raider band along the scenic run through the neighboring trails and finish to the sounds of the drum line. Proceeds will go towards purchase of band uniforms, instruments and travel ability for the SM South Band to take their talents into the community and abroad! Come support musical endeavors in students and music in motion!

The Shawnee Mission South band program has been a top-rated band in the area for several decades. They perform regularly both in the schools and throughout the community at charitable events, sharing their talents far and wide. They participate in a traveling program with our sister city in Germany once every four years, both hosting German students here and traveling to Germany to perform and learn the culture.
