The 42nd year of this 5 mile race and 2.6 mile walk over the "Gold Coast" roads. Extremely scenic, the race course is flat and gently rolling. The walk passes through Southport harbor & village. Long sleeve cotton t-shirts to the first 4800 entrants. NEW THIS YEAR...Team awards...Top 3 teams are eligible for an award. Top 3 times score for the team. Enter as usual. The Laddie Lawrence Scholarship Fund was established to recognize the dedication and commitment of Hall of Fame Coach Laddie Lawrence, Head Boys Cross Country & Track & Field coach at Staples High School for over five decades. Laddie also runs the Westport Roadrunners program and the age group track program and has done so for over 50 years. He has been a mentor, coach and friend to all who have been fortunate enough to have known him.
