I know that running or walking a 5K is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run or walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a road race official relative to my ability to safely complete the 5K, but I understand that I am primarily responsible for my own safety. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the course--all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing the facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, hereby release and discharge Avail Academy, its officers, directors and volunteers, the municipalities through which the event will take place, as well as any other person connected with the event, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assignees, of and from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
