The Beat Beethoven 5K helps support the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra and its educational programs. Every April it marks the start of the running season in Fairbanks, Alaska. Runners "Beat Beethoven" by finishing the 5K before the end of his Symphony No.5 which starts to play at the beginning of the race. The Symphony is about 31 minutes total. All runners who beat Beethoven receive a voucher to attend a Symphony concert. Early bib pickup is from 5-7PM Monday, April 8, at the UAF Patty Center.
