This Lions Club fundraiser has no equal when it comes to preparing one mentally and physically for the American Birkebeiner. Choose 26 km or 42 km distances in either classic or skate technique. Come test your legs, your confidence, and your sisu!

Lions Club International is the largest service organization in the world with 1.3 million members in 185 countries. Worldwide, Lions Clubs are recognized for their service to the blind, visually impaired, and hearing impaired. The Hayward Lions Club is no exception. Through the efforts of our local club, we raise money for the above services. There are many other worthwhile causes, such as sponsoring the Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin, where local physically and mentally challenged children and adults go for a week at no expense. 

Some more of our Community Service Projects are:

  • Adopt-a-Highway
  • Memorial Blood Center Blood Drive
  • Peace Poster Contest
  • Vision Screening
Wisconsin Lions’ State Projects: Candy Day, held in May, to raise funds for Camp Rosholt, Mission-to-Mexico, to collect school supplies, Lion’s Day at Lion’s Camp.
