In consideration of the privilege of participating  in the Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff Half Marathon Run or walk or 5K Fun Run, hereafter referred to as “The Event”, I understand and agree to be legally bound, for myself, my heirs, and personal representatives  as follows: I assume all responsibility for my participation  in The Event and I recognize that competitive  or recreational running/jogging/walking can be a hazardous  undertaking due to nature of The Event course, elevation, rocks, roots, branches, stumps, gravel, debris, motor vehicles on the course, other runners, uneven terrain and many other hazards or physical and emotional  stressors do occur and that serious injuries and possibly death  may result and I assume that burden  of Directors, sponsors, U.S. Forest Service, Flagstaff Parks and Recreation, Lowell Observatory, Coconino County, their representatives, successors, and assigns and hold them harmless from and against all claims, actions, damages, liability and expense  in connection  with loss of life, personal injury and or property damage arising from or out of my or my child’s participation  in The Event. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing released persons to use photograph, videotapes, motion pictures, recording, or any other record of my participation in this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that once I have registered there is a no transfer to another runner and no refund policy.
