In consideration of the foregoing, I for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release all claims of damages I have against Guam Sports Events, Inc (GSEI), United Airlines (UA), Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), all sponsors, beneficiaries and their representatives and any and all claims of damages, demands, actions whatsoever in any manner, as a result of my participation in said event; including but not limited to any injuries I might suffer. I acknowledge that I am aware of the inherent risks in participation in an athletic event of this type. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and my physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my name, my voice and or my picture in broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event for any purpose whatsoever. I understand that the entry fee is nonrefundable and numbers are non-transferable. If I am making this application on behalf of my son/daughter, or minor for whom I am legal guardian as set forth above with regard to their and /or my knowledge of risks, physical fitness and training, and use of image. I hereby attest and verify that my son/daughter or minor of whom I am legal guardian, on whose behalf I make this application, has my permission to run in the Guam International Marathon on April 9, 2017. I understand , GSEI, UA, GVB, all sponsors, beneficiaries and their representatives reserve the right, in absolute discretion, to cancel, delay or postpone the event due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances out of reasonable control. In such cases GSEI, UA, GVB, all sponsors, beneficiaries and their representatives will endeavor to inform participants as quickly as is possible. Where the event has to be cancelled, delayed or postponed due to circumstances outside of our reasonable control (including for the avoidance of doubt due to adverse weather conditions or as a result of instructions from the emergency services) GSEI, UA, GVB, all sponsors, beneficiaries and their representatives shall not be liable for any inconvenience, expenses, costs, losses or damages suffered by participants. Use of headphones or other listening devices during the race IS NOT ALLOWED.
