The Bobby Spitler Memorial 5k, 3k & 1 mile fun run

ALL runners/walkers must sign this waiver.   I know that running a race is a potentially hazardous activity.  I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained.  I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run.  I assume all risks associated with running this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including, high heat or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.  Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of accepting my entry, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula, Inc., Kingston Plantation, Community Services Board, Ann Marie Haywood, Timer, ChronoTrack, race officials all volunteers and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the person named in the waiver.   As a participant or guardian of a participant, I agree to indemnify Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula, Inc., Kingston Plantation, Community Services Board, Ann Marie Haywood, Timer, ChronoTrack, race officials, all volunteers and all sponsors, their representatives and successors for any liability caused by my own negligence resulting in injury to myself or injury to others as a result of my negligent actions.   I grant permission only to all of the foregoing (ALMP and CSB) to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.   This road race is not intended for individuals with headphones, dogs on leashes, skateboards, rollerblades or hoverboards.  Adults pushing jogging strollers (only) will be permitted with advance notice from the Race Director.   This event is a fundraising event for Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula, Inc. and the Community Services Board and may not be used to raise funds for any other organization or entity.   No refunds or transfer permitted.
