The Somerville Road Runners are proud to present the 20th annual Gobble Gobble Gobble on Thanksgiving Day. The race is open to runners, joggers and stroller families of all ages and abilities (but no dogs, please)! All proceeds will benefit Project Soup as well as Somerville Track PAC.The first 2400 registrants are guaranteed to receive our iconic "Gobble Gobble Gobble" long-sleeve t-shirt. Registration is capped at 3000, so don't delay! We will sell out again.

I understand that there are no refunds for any reason, even if race has to be canceled due to weather conditions. Race reserves the right to reject any entry. No transfers.

I know that running or walking a road race is a potentially hazardous
activity. I should not enter or participate in this event unless I am
medically able and properly trained.  I realize that the event is
physically strenuous; that there might be adverse weather conditions
and that there might be vehicles present on the course and at
intersections. I nevertheless wish to compete and assume any and all
risks associated with running or walking this event, including but not
limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effect of
weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the
road and the presence of traffic, all such risks being know and
appreciated by me.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I do hereby for
myself, heirs, executors and administrators waive and release any and
all right and claim for damages I may have against the Somerville Road Runners, City of Somerville, The Burren and all event sponsors and representatives by my registration in this event.

I also indemnify and hold harmless the Releases from any liability
incurred by them and caused by myself.  I attest that I am physically
fit, and sufficiently trained for this event.  I hereby grant
permission for the use of my likeness participating in this event
without obligation or compensation to me, and to be informed of future races by the Somerville Road Runners.

On April 18, 2013 the MIT Police lost a brother and a friend, Officer Sean Collier.  In order to honor him in the best way they know how they set up a scholarship fund that would send one self-sponsored recruit (MIT Self Sponsor) through the Lowell Police Academy (LPA) annually (the Scholarship) as a student officer.  Officer Collier self-sponsored himself through the Transit Academy in order to start his law enforcement career.  This recruit will have the honor of wearing MIT’s Patch in Officer Sean Collier’s memory.  June 2, 2014 marked the inauguration of this great Scholarship.
