I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I DECLINE RACE INSURANCE, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE NO CANCELLATIONS, NO DEFERMENTS, NO CHANGES AND NO TRANSFERS.

Should the event be cancelled on behalf of the Race Organizers (e.g., unsafe environmental conditions), I UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL RECEIVE A 50% DISCOUNT FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR’S EVENT.

I KNOW that running events are potentially hazardous. I attest that I am medically able and properly trained for these events which will be conducted between 6200' and 7200' in elevation. I assume all risks associated with competing in any of these events including, but not limited to, fall, contact with other participants, effects of weather including heat and humidity, cold and ice, effects of altitude, traffic and the condition of the roads, all such risks of competing being known and appreciated by me.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of acceptance of my entry I, for myself, and heirs, executor, or anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release all race sponsors, officials, volunteers, employees, Douglas County, the State of Nevada, NDOT, NHP, the U.S. Forest Service, and all government entities, and any of their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kinds arising out of my participation in this event. This Release and Waiver extends to all claims of every kind or nature whatsoever, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown.

I grant my permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, video or sound recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. There are no refunds for any reason including the cancellation of the event. The course is subject to change. I assume responsibility to check for changes and updates on the www.epictahoe.com website.

By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows:
I understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I am traveling to or from the event, during the event, or while I am on the premises of the event. I also am aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather, traffic and conditions of the road. I, for myself and my heirs and executors, hereby waive, release and forever discharge the event organizers, sponsors, promoters, and each of their agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and all other persons associated with the event, for all of my liabilities, claims, actions, or damages that I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this event. I understand that this waiver includes any claims, whether caused by negligence, the action or inaction of any of the above parties, or otherwise. I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the above parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event.
