Run For The Roses

I acknowledge that running or walking a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficient training for the completion of this event and that a licensed medical doctor has verified my condition. I also know that, although police protection will be provided, there may be traffic on the course route and I assume the risk of running into traffic. I acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with my participation in this event, and agree to pay all of my own medical and emergency expenses in the event of accident, illness, or other incapacitation regardless of whether I have authorized such expenses at the time they are incurred. I also assume any and all other risks associated with running this event including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather including hot and cold temperatures, rain and/or snow, and the condition of the roads, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. This Release and Waiver extends to all claims of every kind or nature whatsoever, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown.

Knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim in my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release and discharge Rise Up and Run Race Productions, all organizers, sponsors, race officials, and volunteers, the State of Indiana, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the City of Henderson, Henderson County of any and all claims of liability for death, personal injury or property damage of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of, or in the course of my participation in this event.

In the event of event cancellation because of severe weather or other emergency that is out of the control of the race organizers, registration fee refunds will not be issued. All net proceeds will be given to the listed race charity/charities.

The undersigned further grants full permission to all officials, sponsors and/or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, video tapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
 

Application for minors will be accepted only with parent’s signature. T-shirts and packets will not be available after race day.
