Participant Waiver for Race Registration   I know that running [volunteering for] a road race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them.  I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat, heavy rain and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or roller blades, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules. Dog Guidelines: Please remember that the event can get busy and crowded. Don’t bring your dog if they are fearful of crowds, or not ok with strangers petting them. Your dog should be on a 6 ft leash maximum. You must clean up after your dog. Be prepared to carry those poop bags to the next trash can. Owners are responsible for the well-being and safety of their dog(s) at all times. Get Up and Go 5k does not accept any liability for injuries. Runners with dogs begin toward the back of the starting-line crowd. No need to stay in the back once you start running though. Be prepared that you and your dog might be passing and weaving in and out of people most of the race. Use caution. Other rules: All dogs should be current on vaccinations; No female dogs in heat; No dogs under six months of age, No aggressive dogs; and no more than two dogs per person.
