 In consideration of my entry being accepted by EQUI-KIDS THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM for the above-referenced race, I, intending to be legally bound, do here, for myself, my heirs, executors and assigned, waive release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages that I may have or which I may here and after accrue to me against EQUI-KIDS, J & A Racing, its agent or officers, employees, sponsors, their representatives or successors, and any volunteers arising out of my association with or participation in the above-referenced race. I know that participating in a foot race is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I understand that I do not need a physical examination to qualify to run/walk the 5K Cross Country Run, 1 Mile Run with the Hounds and 1/2 Mile Pony Run for the Kids, and that I participate at my own risk. I assume all risks associated with this race including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, traffic, the conditions of the course, and the danger of injury or even death, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I hereby consent to emergency treatment in the event of my injury or illness. I understand that if this race cannot be held because of an act of God or circumstances beyond control, any expenses incurred or entry paid by me to participate will not be refunded. I release the right to all photographic material, motion pictures, recordings, computer information, and any other recordings of this event of the foregoing to be used for the legitimate purposes without any obligation or compensation to me. All persons under 18 years of age, unless emancipated, must have the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, hereby consent to the applicant’s participation and waive their release of all rights and claims for damages as is more fully set forth above. I agree to drug testing in accordance with USA Track and Field and IAAF Rule 144 if I place in the top 25 overall men or women. I understand that EQUI-KIDS THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM reserves their right to reject any entry. I understand this race is not intended for baby strollers, participants with head phones, bicycles, rollerblades, roller skates, or dogs without leashes, and I will abide by these guidelines.
