By indicating my acceptance and/or signing below, I am willingly participating in Race for Jane, a fundraising event for Jane Doe Advocacy Center. I am at least 18 years old, or will be on April 18, 2015. I understand that running and/or walking a road race is a potentially hazardous activity which could cause injury or death. I certify that I am medically able to perform the event, am in good health, and am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat, cold temperatures, and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road or trail all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I also know that, although police protection will be provided, there will be traffic on the course route and assume any and all other risks associated with this event. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, babyjoggers, roller skates or blades, animals, and radio headsets are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this guideline. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the race director and other race officials, City of St. Louis, Tower Grove Park, Big River Race Management, Big River Running Company, Jane Doe Advocacy Center, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. This is binding upon my heir, executors, and administrators. I also understand that my name, picture, race time, and any other media and information collected during the event may be used in the promotion of this and future events.
