Run or Walk 5K (3.1 miles) a beautiful course in Rehoboth Beach. We will take a break from t-shirts and present The Traditional TOWELS to all participants. Awards ceremony following 5K at Grove Park. Awards presented to the male/female Overall and Master Champions, as well as the top three finishers in 16 age groups: 9 & under to 80 & over. A Seashore Strider Championship Series Event- #9. i know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. i should not enter and run unless i am medically able and properly trained. i agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the event. The Seashore Strider Youth Cross Program introduces our young runners to the sport with a major focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, training, and competition. The Strider Youth runners meet twice a week at beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park from September to the National Championships in November. The Striders have qualified athletes for the Nationals for the last 22 straight years with highlights that include over 100 All-Americans, a 3rd place team in the late 90's, and a National Individual Champion in 2007 with Sub-Bantam Ben Bamforth. The Youth Team is supported by a few Seashore Strider events, fundraisers throughout the season, the local Seashore Marathon, and of course the generous donations made by the Seashore Strider family of runners. We thank you for your support in helping us teach the sport of running to our youth.
